Unable to communicate except by tapping on the special glass of his cell, the poor dude has seen Barry, Jesse Wells and Caitlin Snow all come and go, yet he’s been left behind.īarry vowed to rescue him, and hopefully the Season 2 finale will see him honor that promise. Of course, I’m referring to the man in the iron mask, who’s been a captive in Zoom’s dungeon for what we can assume is a long time. First it seemed that the identity of Zoom would be the question that kept us wondering right up until the end, then it was how Barry Allen would regain his super-speed once he surrendered it to Hunter Zolomon in exchange for the life of Wally West.Īnswers to both of those subplots arrived prior to this week’s season finale, “ The Race of His Life.” There’s really only one big loose thread remaining, and it involves a guy who’s been Zoom’s “guest” for quite some time.
